In 2013, UTC Brasil started its processing activities in the Industrial District of Venâncio Aires, maintaining a finished product warehouse in Santa Cruz do Sul. In February 2021, the company announced the change of headquarters to Santa Cruz do Sul, with the acquisition of a processing unit in the Industrial District, at BR 471- Km 149.53.
While UTC Brasil centralized the operations of Rio Grande do Sul in Santa Cruz do Sul, the branches in Itaiópolis (Santa Catarina) and São João do Triunfo (Paraná) also remain in operation. UTC is associated with the Interstate Tobacco Industry Union (SindiTabaco) – http://www.sinditabaco.com.br/, operates in the Integrated Tobacco Production System and sells Virginia and Burley tobacco varieties to all continents.
