The month of October was marked by several activities related to Pink October at UTC Brasil, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention. Between the 6th and 20th of this month, the Human Resources sector promoted lectures, dynamics, the delivery of ribbons with special phrases and a photo session for employees.
The program was attended by the Santa Cruz group Embrace Another Woman, where group members and UTC employees were able to share their stories of overcoming. The Embrace Another Woman group produces craft items to raise resources and help women in vulnerable situations. On this occasion, UTC participants also made heart-shaped pillows.
In addition, there was a lecture with gynecologist and breast specialist Dr. Andréia Rauber, who highlighted the importance of carrying out preventive exams and seeking healthier habits. After the lecture, UTC Brasil made a donation worth R$500 to the Women’s League to Combat Cancer. RBS TV was present to publicize the activity.
UTC Brasil’s Outubro Rosa schedule also included a lecture on “Self-care: prevention, emotional health and empowerment”, given by the consultant from the company Angiocardio and owner of the Empodera Project, Nadiane Nardi, from Unimed.
And last Friday, the 20th, all female employees were invited to wear a pink blouse and participate in a photo session in the company’s courtyard, forming a heart and also a bow referring to Outubro Rosa. UTC Brasil is concerned with the health and well-being of women and reinforces the importance of self-care.
